The Coloured Liquid Brush

Posted on May 26th, 2016

Sally’s got class

Down to an art

She knows how to gently mend

A saddened little heart.

Taking hold of tiny hand

She leads them to the place

Where images on tissue thin

Absorb tears without a trace.

Our Sally twins her inner child

With those about her arms

Guiding the strengths of different lengths

She mingles with their charms.

Fine years our Sally’s been developing

The coloured liquid brush

On fabrics light, on paper white

Bringing children to the lush.

But what of her, our Sally

When inside her private space

What paints her heart

What tears apart

Who brings her back to grace?
